LikeFolio API — getting started
Daily Main Street (measured consumer demand) vs Wall Street (analyst sentiment) scores on 500+ US stocks, divergence events with dated outcomes, and a decade of history — over a REST API and a hosted MCP server that share one credit meter.
Base URL & auth
Everything lives at https://likefolio.ai — no separate API
subdomain. Authenticate every request with your key in the
X-API-Key header. (?api_key= also works as a query
parameter for clients that can't set headers — prefer the header; URLs leak
into logs.)
No key yet? Get one free — an email is all it takes. Manage keys, usage, and billing in your console.
Your first call
curl -H "X-API-Key: lf_your_key" \
"https://likefolio.ai/v1/scores/AAPL"Response anatomy
Every data payload carries provenance: an as_of date (free
keys trail 7 days), a source line, and a
citation_url — cite it when you quote scores. Every response
carries these headers:
| Header | Meaning |
|---|---|
X-Credits-Limit / X-Credits-Used /
X-Credits-Remaining | your live meter — build your own alerting off it |
X-Request-ID | quote it in support requests; it matches your console's request log |
X-Data-License | the license terms URL |
Credits in 60 seconds
Every call costs credits per the rate card
(per-record endpoints bill by rows returned). Credits come out of your
monthly allowance first, then any prepaid pack; when both are gone the API
returns 429 until you top up or upgrade. Usage is always paid
up front — you are never billed after the fact.
All endpoints — params, examples, costs, errors.
